Response to Rolls Royce 1920's Iraq-Colour

The R-R cars in Iraq during the 1920s were painted in either the darker colour as used in UK or a lighter shade. Either of which may also have been locally obtained. The darker was some sort of green only referred to as 'Service Colour' that was the general term for whatever colour was in general use at the time. 1920 is too early for Deep Bronze Green as the BS series had not then been established. Some sort of dull green perhaps with a hint of brown will have to do here. The lighter colour may have been something like Buff or Ochre that was known to have been a service colour then, but again no precise shade has been identified. The army did not establish standard colours until about 1934 and then only over a protracted period.
