Hi,I just finished my A.F.S. WW1 Ford ambulance. I started with RPM's model T scout car. I did modifications to the chassis and front fenders{width and length}.Every thing else was scratch built. All the wood parts where made from scale strip lumber. My model depicts the ambulance in June,1917. S.S.U.8 reg.#32020,before the U.S. army took them over from the French. ambulance references

December 16 2007, 4:45 AM

Hi: Thanks for the compliment. All my references came from the web site http://www.ourstory.info/ this site is so large it took alot of time to research.I found the history of the A.F.S. during the great war, then a S.S.U. section that had a picture showing {S.S.U.8 reg# 32020}. I drew my own 1/35 scale prints using the pictures I found of Ford model t ambulances. p.s. sorry about the picture size,I'm new to computers. Chris A.
