9114

June 1 2009, 10:31 AM

Super photos - Now, here is an oddity: I have 9114 as with 8 Bn at Amien and being knocked out (Source is WO95/114 in the National archives). Obviously she wasn't that badly damaged as here she is again.

Is it just me?

Or is there a faint tint of colour on some of these pics?
I can almost make out the red on the recognition flashes on the front horns.
Hopefully it's not the Stellas!

Probably 'colourised' prints

These are probably 'colourised' prints, quite common for the period. The white and red were probably the only colours the artist was sure of, all of the others are somewhat neutral tones.
