Renault photo etch?

Hello,

I don't know if I did my buddy a favor or not, but he wanted a 1/35 scale Renault tank so I gave him the RPM kit. He immediately asked if there was any good photo etched accessories for it, and I had to say that I am sure there are....but didn't know which were the best. With that in mind, I would love to get some input as to which is the best photo etch set for the RPM kit. I think he is already searching for the replacement tracks. It looks to me like he is getting into a big project.

Richard

G'day Richard...

....you could try JADAR-PART from Poland for the photo etch, If I remember correctly, they do a resin update (under the brand name ARMO) for the hull interior and turret as well as a fairly comprehensive engine compartment, both resin sets come with photo etch. Well worth looking for if you want to detail the RPM kit.
Modelcasten also do a set of injection moulded plastic tracks, I've found that the plastic is much more user friendly than the metal Fruil ones when it comes to fitting them to the fragile kit suspension units. If I've done it right, I've added the direct link to the Jadar site at the bottom of this post.
I hope this helps, Cant wait to see some images.
Regards
D

FT-17 p/e

September 3 2012, 5:39 AM

Hello Richard,

Eduard makes a decent p/e set, so does Part but via Jarad I have seen an interior set as well; not 100% if this was Part as well.
The most comprehensive p/e comes from Aber, they even make workable p/e tracks!

Besides Friulmodel, ModelKasten also make tracks for the FT-17.
