US rules are the same when it comes to Major penalties....for slashing 5 and a GM .
As far as supplementary discipline from the OWHA goes....the player will sit the same number of games that the current OWHA rules state. You are always playing under the rules of your governing body in tournaments when it comes to minimum game suspensions.
