From what I understand, the OWHA mission should be to promote female hockey in Ontario? The fact that there is no recognition (or respect) towards excellent OUA players and programs, the Ottawa area universities, Ontarians playing in Canadian university programs across the country, and the CIS in general especially when the championships are being hosted by Laurier is truly unbelievable. Not even any links to the OUA or CIS?! Promoting U.S. programs and championships on the OWHA site but not Ontario or Canada - simply not acceptable. Did the NCAA pay for a home page ad or are they sponsoring the OWHA? The OHF and Hockey Canada should use this as their excuse to make an example of this, challenge the direction of the organization, and overhaul it. The NCAA has good players and programs but so do we and it should be properly promoted to continue to grow and get even better over time. The leadership role in promoting home grown university programs (life after PWHL/MAA) should be scooped up and championed by associations like the OWHA otherwise it is not in the best overall interests of women's hockey.
