Response to DW ....

JAD has his opinions and I respect them. He is clearly an Aeros and NCCP bandwagon person. Have no problem with that.

However his post above has a few falsehoods:

Firstly....The original OLS incarnation only lasted one year and it almost led to the demise of the NCCP. But with the Kanata turnabout only one year in, OLS died a quick death and NCCP went on to live another few years and had some success along the way.

The NCCP curtain finally fell a few years later, partly because off the new icetime allotment strategy by the now merged city of Ottawa. By then the Kanata turnabout had hit them in the face, the Gloucester/NCCP merge never happened, and Kanata and NCCP needed each other. NCCP needed Kanata for the Ice and Kanata needed NCCP for a struggling on ice rep program.

While JAD maybe still be lamenting in the old days, the newly incarnated Sens program has done quite well, including A PW championship. While there will always be the Nepean/Kanata rivalry, things are much calmer in the Ottwa waters these days. A good thing.

JMHO.

My recommendation is much simpler. Skate with the program that best fits your needs. That may for some be the Aeros, for for many others it is not. I have two D play college. Neither played for the Aeros or NCCP. We thought about it, even tried out once, but in the end saw better fits on other programs, for our needs at the time.
