Response to Re: the real facts and I'm done

Ok, you sucked me in so rather then take the high road I have to respond. Glad to hear you just don't have a hate on for St. Theresa and actually it is the entire Separate school system. Firstly, St. Theresa never compared itself to the private system (which you obviously detest as well) it simply stated the difference between the two. In the final game against Appleby, which was an excellent one, the players shook hands as well as coaches and congratulated each other on an excellent final. I can guarantee you that never a word was mentioned of foul play or unfair advantage by a player, coach or parent but everyone took their hats off to Appleby. Perhaps you could take a lesson from the kids. Secondly, OFSAA does an excellent job of ensuring an even playing ground for fair play. Get over it.

You seem really concerned about an even playing ground but would prefer to tear the top teams or programs down to level the playing field. Personally, I prefer to see schools go the opposite direction and aspire to improve so that they can compete against the best in the province. I am sure that when a school in Belleville ( a separate school again) won three OFSAA basketball championships in a row that you once again had a "hate on" for their school., Again, make your school better. If you really think that running a Hockey program will help your kids then do it. If you don't want to take the time and effort that it takes to develop strong programs then fine, just quit your whining.

Girls hockey has come a long way over the last few years but obviously has a long way to go to catch up to the other sports. It will not be long before most teams who advance to OFSAA will be of players who have played hockey at a competitive level. When schools like Appleby, Ridley Bishop Tonnes, Paul Dwyer and yes even St. Theresa play against less experienced teams it makes girls hockey better. Quit dwelling on the score and the championships and if you really want to make a difference coach girls hockey and bring it into your school instructional program. You seem to be an expert on it!!
