Why would the NHL want to get involved?

Q. Why would the NHL want to pay Salaries and travel expenses to the players?
A. Because if they do it right and look at it as a long term investment, their is money to be made.

Q. The Major problem with a league like this is that during an Olympic year the players are removed from the league to be centralized to begin preparing. Would you if you were the NHL be supportive of a league that removes the star players for a whole season every 4th year. As well as lose players every year so that they can attend camps to prepare for National team events......not bloody likely!
A. The NHL does it with the men why not with the women?

Q. A Vision that makes sense for the players and the league needs to be developed, with the OWHA involved as they bring nothing to the table in this realm of hockey. This league should be Under Hockey Canada directly.
A. Put it under the NHL and the NHL owners can make their/your vision a reality. No OWHA, HC or prima donna players calling the shots.
