I am a research methodology auditor. I am self-employed although I do work out of client's offices for extended periods. I go in and evaluate whether a company's internal research department or their consultants have a properly designed study (preferably before hand as a post hoc analysis is not ideal). My primary focus is on Canadian demographics, achieving balanced samples (urban/rural, regional, langauge, immigrant sub-cultures, etc.), and effective measures of internet and cross-media exposure for advertising campaigns.

To sum it up: I get paid to spot flaws in people's logic.
