No sympathy

While I have no sympathy for the alleged thief, I do agree that the association has to accept it as a given that its policies and/or the implementation of said policies was flawed.

And anytime you see one flaw in an organization there are usually other flaws. If the treasurer wasn't doing his/her duty and no one was checking then you have to wonder which other volunteers were not doing their jobs.
