Years ago

Had two of our D's on the same team the first year we went. Only time EVER they played together. The oldest was 16 at the end of grade 11, the youngest just turned 14 and was still in Bantam.

Highlight for them was beating the team with the two LAM twins on it that was undefeated, eliminating them from the playoffs.

The oldest ended up getting calls from 4 ivies, but in the end went to the OUA as at the time the FA was not sufficient to make it worth our while. FA aid at Ivies has since improved due to new endowment fund tax rules. We used the experience to be better prepped for the younger one who is playing hockey at an Ivy. She ended up doing prospects three times and will be back this year in the super series event. The oldest meanwhile is now in Med School out in UBC.

Point is it was a valuable event in our situation and our D enjoyed the experience.
