First of all, most of the time, organizations that have 2 MAA teams do not break it down to the top 17 players on team 1 and the next 17 players on team 2. Each team usually acts independently of each other and have a mix better players on both teams. They do not have a joint tryout where coach A take the best players and leave coach B the rest. Etobicoke, Mississauga and Vaughn all have 2 teams this year and all these teams are blends of players - there was no combined tryout were the top players went to the first team. Oakville is one organization where they actually call one team "Team 1" and the other "Team 2". But in this case, shouldn't Team 2 be a MA team? Aren't they watering down their MA team??
If you have 2 MAA mixed teams, you are striving to be mediocre.....you're message is that you prefer mediocrity over excellence. | |
