Thanks Clueless.......
You come on here using an IP proxy server asking for people to tell you how much money they are making as a ref.....you call people liars etc and yet you hide as a coward behind a proxy server.
I am not clueless ....it is you using capitals that is screaming and stomping your feet like a 3 year old.
You call the CRA or said you did and then report horse poop on here....the CRA could care less how you get paid as that makes little difference.... cash, cheque or in farm animals. The determining factor is not how you get paid but if under the law is refs fees taxable income.....I have been told that it is not.
Did you know when you call the CRA for a general question you an answer from the least experience person, these are not the tax collectors but the individuals who answer assine questions......the individuals who know the tax laws best are individuals who collect taxes not answer general phone calls.
As far as being paid to drive to the arena....do you know who gets that money when an association pays mileage? Do all officials get Mileage?
As far as your assertion that refs get paid for driving to work.....do they?
I know many people who get paid mileage for using their cars for work and I am sure even you do and when these people do they get paid mileage for doing this.....talk about clueless!
Oh and by the way a ref does not get paid by the hour....they get paid a set rate.....( if the game takes longer to play as a result of injury and there is no curfew the refs paid does not change)this is one of the proofs of Volunteer under the tax laws of Canada.....in the US a ref is taxed on their earnings.
Have a great day.....
Play hard, play fair
