It seems that there MAY be some additions to the PWHL staff this year and what is going on from what I hear is this... remember the Markham ref (MG) and (KS) Durham region ? ..that myself and many other's have highly touted on this site and others ?

They could be, or are possibly going to be, recommended to officiate in the PWHL this year. They have both made it clear that they would like to be involved. BUT, from what I hear they will be accepted as linesmen ONLY ?? Now, I understand KS would probably prefer this assignment but MG from Markham should be REFEREEING !! This is a waste of a GREAT REFEREE !!

I was speaking to someone the other day and they told me that
MG was recently hired on as a Hockey Canada Officiating Program Instructor.

Sure doesn't sound like a guy who should be LINING games in the PWHL. That would be a waste of an EXCELLENT OFFICIAL !!
This guy should be out there as much as possible REFEREEING in the PWHL. As should KS. Two good people and BOTH superior officials !!

I understand that they are both on the brink of packing in girls/women's hockey because of the politics involved with the OLD GIRLS CLUB. What a shame if we lost these two, only to see the boys game benefit with their sole attention.

MG is now an HCOP Instructor in the GTHL. I feel fairly confident that he will pack in Girls hockey if not given his due with a position in the PWHL this season. This man is a very talented referee, and certainly deserves to be Reffing in the PWHL.

KS has been trying to get into the PWHL since its inception. He is also on the verge of leaving the OWHA, and here is a guy who lined Pro Hockey, including a brief stint in the "SHOW", which was cut short by injury. I also hear that he is on his way back to the GTHL this coming season.

I understand the OWHAs need to promote female officials, but here are a couple people that could help to develop those officials by bringing their experience to the table. These 2 leaving the OWHA would be a huge loss to that Officiating program, but an even bigger gain to the GTHL and OMHA.

TIME to wake up OWHA!!!!!
