On Friday and Saturday, they did a good job of keeping the scores and stats on pointstreak.com, but fell apart on Sunday.
It's Monday morning and they don't even have most of the early games from Sunday's QF rounds posted.
Hey Rochester wake up - your job is not over. Those of us watching from afar want to know what's going on. |

U19 A scores are up... I realize that does not help you every much though.
The gold medal team MVP won a free pair of Bauer x60 skates and the silver MVP won a x60 stick... Way to go Bauer! |

Great weather!
Wide range of teams at U19AA with some 15-0 scores. Worth the trip though to get to see some new teams and to not have to watch a Leafs game on Sat. night.
Ontario teams did OK but not great. Some MAA teams won their pools but I think they all lost out in first round of playoffs.
Best game was first 2 periods of Peterboro MAA vr. Etobicoke Jrs. Peterboro had them 0-0 until start of 3rd but ran into a bit of penalty trouble (again).
Worst games were the 15-0 ones. Didn't see them but it was obicious that a couple of teams were in the wrong pool.
Some MAA teams were also in the U16AA division but again I don't think any of them made it to the medal round. Seeing that MAA teams can do fine in either of the pools (U16AA and U19AA) makes me wonder if the real problem is that U19AA is just too bloated. Maybe they should spin-ff a U19AAA pool for the strong Jr teams and top US teams and then bump the Ontario MAA teams into U19AA unless they truly are a U16 team.
But can we scrap the 2 ref system for this tournament? When these guys are doing their 3rd game at 10 pm you see them making offside calls from 5-6 ft off the blue line. Let's face facts: it is hard to keep up with U19 players for 4.5 hours. Something has to give. Do they go for a 3-man system for the medal round?
And it is surprising how the flow of the game can change when you go back to not having delayed off-sdes. It does put a bit more pressure on the D when the puck pops out over the line and they have to figure out what to do with it as they can't just shoot it back in. Takes a bit more skill. |

Gloucester MAA won the U16 division against home town Edge. |

The tournament organizers placed Gloucester in the U16 division against what appears to be MA teams. Makes no sense. |

Yeah but that didn't do Scarboro MAA any good as they were in there as well. has more to do with the lack of depth with US teams. |

You are kidding re: Etobicoke vs. Peterborough right? I watched the game and in my estimate the shots were around 45 - 7 for Etobioke and it would be a stretch to say Peterborough had more than one or two legitimate scoring chances. I guess some people focus on the scoreboard and not what is going on the ice. On top of that the pace of the game was brutal and ref's called far too many penalties on both sides. It look to me as if the Peterborough team was playing for the Championship and the Etobicoke team just wanted it over with and move on to Sunday.
IMHO, at the U19AA level some of the great games of the weekend were NAHA White vs. NAHA Red, and NAHA White vs. NSA. Both fast paced back and forth action that seemed at good pace and level playing fields. |

Then why were the Dolphins so darn happy to finally get a goal? Looked like they had an albatros on their backs.
Sure Peterborough was outshot but the score was still 0-0. And they did a good job of getting Etob. to play down to their level at times. Give them some credit. (And no I do not have a daughter on their team.) |

Perhaps because when you totally dominate and cannot seem to get the monkey off your back it is exciting when the puck finally goes in. You are correct though that the Peterborough credit played very well and deserves a lot of credit for getting the game close for two periods. |

Can't have a team without a goalie but can't be a goalie without a team. | |

This event is overated and overpriced. Using a 2 man system for U-19AA is unaceptable,(trying to save money) Hotel rooms are over inflated by as much as $40.00 per night for each room,in other words that is what Bauer and the hotel coordinator are receiving from the hotels as kickbacks. That is why they do not want you contacting hotels directly says right on the website. They do not want you to find out how much kickback they are getting. $5.00 for a program what's up with that. I can get a program at a NHL game for that price. No wonder why they can give out a pair of skates and stick. total cost to Bauer $150.00 for both. throw in a incomplete website for updates as well.
When you are charging this kind of dough, there should be a player of the game for each team after each game, not just the final game. Does not hve to be a stick or skates, but a bauer bag would have been nice for the Girl's. Oh I forgot, each player received a lanyard with a piece of plastic stating there are a participate. |

So why do teams keep going back?
--change from same old LL competition
--excuse to take a bus
--shopping
--the mega-sized Tim Horton's coffee
--chance to see how they compare against US teams
--four game guarantee |

I don't get it. Are you saying that you cannot watch a game and comment on it? Seriously, what am I failing to grasp? Can you explain your position a little better?
(And the ranking might say Canada but they are effectively just Ontario.) |

That would only tell us who won one of the semi matches...who met/won in the final? |

Ok...howz this..Peterborough playing against what is effectively the Canadian MAA finalists ?? and there is an evaluation to be made on this game ?
Pointless. PAC are a middle of the pack and lackluster MAA team. Should not have been on the same ice as ANY IAA team |
