TEAM QUEBEC U18December 6 2010 at 7:10 PM No score for this post | Anonymous (no login) |
| Team Quebec has posted their roster, they played in the Cheminot tournament over the weekend in the MAA category, one game had them involved with the Nepean Midget AA Wildcats and won that game 3-2, they went on to win the tournament. So this is the year for Quebec, and it come to a good time, Canada Winter game. |

so what your point, Nepean is still a Midget AA and had a hard time beating that team, Quebec best defense would have got cut by Team Ontario. |

Might as well hand the cup to team Ontario and save on the travel costs. |

Are you sure Nepean only lost 3-2?
Hard to believe after they got demolished by OHA. |

Not sure why you would think they win after beating a MAA club team 3-2. Sensing some sarcasm here. Quebec's best chances were with there 90 and 91 groups in 2007 and 2008. Those groups were both deep and talented. Both times they almost beat Ontario Red.
While Quebec still have some good players, they have nowhere nears the depth of Ontario. Just look at the TC U18 roster. Half are from Ontario. A few years ago there were quite a few girls from Quebec on TC U18. Only two Quebec girls were on the TC U18 team this summer. |

Some are saying that MC Roy (Team Québec HC) also HC for St-Laurent College in Montreal favored players that might be interested in playing for that school during the recruiting Team Quebec process. |

And if they do it will be because Hockey Quebec has a plan to develop players and not because he is building his own little empire. Quebec sees the value in coordinating development rather than following the OWHA's hands-off method. |

He is a She in this case. (HC of St-Laurent and Team Quebec).
BTW this concept of a CEGEP coach being the TQC U18 HC has gone on for years. For many years the St-Jerome coach was the Quebec U18 coach. Last few years the Montpetit HC was the TQC U18 HC. The coach of the Carabins has also been involved with the program over the years. This is really no different than having PW coaches involved with the Team Ontario programs. |

Too funny....the person in the orginal email was just pointing IMHO that Team Quebec cannot be very good as they only beat a MAA team 3-2...i would have concluded the same but you need to point out that the OHA IAA team demolished them....I would expect that OHA is an IAA team with players from Quebec |

There are three OHA teams, but yes you are right some players at OHA are from Quebec. Most of them on the main team are no longer eligible for U18 as they are 92's. Even so, the top end OHA team should not be able to beat the Quebec U18 team if they have any aspirations of winning CWG.
But having said that, remember TC U18 losing to Team Ontario U18 last year. Everybody thought it was a disgrace. Well maybe the coaches were working on certian things, and it must have worked, cause from what I heard the TC U18 staff out coached the US U18 staff to win worlds last year in Chicago on their home turf. Similarly Ontario Team Blue got smoked by Team China last year (While Red won handily), but ended up with a Silver medal at Nats, much to the surpirse of many. You never know if TQC U18 was doing heavy workouts on the same day and the day before the tournament as part of a camp. Point is don't put too much stock in the results from these games, time to peak is when it counts in the CWG.

OHA has 3 players on Team Quebec, two of which are 95's and both are in the top point getters for this team. |

I lift my hat to those girls who leave home at a young age to pursue there dream, and all because the Federation has no ideal how to implement a decent program for girls hockey, Sylvain Lalonde is a disgrace to Girls minor hockey. |

have you all lost focus.....
this site is to complain how bad the OWHA and girls hockey is in Ontario,
All other provinces are perfect or Dice would set up forums to slag them as well....
hahahahahahahahahahahahaha
So leave Quebec and their poorly run programs - so you say - to their website this website is about defeating the two headed dragon known as the OWHA.
Geezz.....
If we can't remember the mission here how will this forum ever win.....
Enjoy your evening - the revolution is near.....

what are you worried about Fran? the thing is that you posting all these items and it is only serving to help dice with his claim that you are worried. dice keeps referring to a person who is considering retiring with no name. I know it is you, seen you break down and cry at meetings etc. there is a lot more angry people then there was 5 years ago and many many more then there was 2 years ago. remember the meeting that you attended that was in essence the start of the revolt. this time we will not allow you to attend. guess who start the ball rolling then. dice so egging him on does not seem like a great strategy but keep it up it is helping my side.

IIHF site talks about US speed ,a 24-9 shot advantage in the first two periods and two powerplay goals and you think it's a goalie issue? Losses last summer were also goaltender problems? |

I'm not surprised US won this year. I saw two of the three games in Lake Placid earlier this year, and the US has simply a deeper talent pool. Goaltending was the least of our problems with TC U18. How about this. Maybe they included too many Ontario players, and that is why we lost. ? | |
