I believe Duggan will actually win it....for several reasons.
The Patty Kaz is an award that is not just for what you do on the ice, but also off it, and in the classroom--which has unfortunately not exactly been Agosta's forte.
On the ice, no question Agosta is very special offensively, but she has a couple of other challenges in that regard. (1) Her numbers in the minds of voters are discounted somewhat, having been achieved in the CHA, the weakest of leagues, while Duggans numbers are pretty comparable but achieved in the most competitive WCHA (2) The big knock on Agosta is that she has not really developed at all in her 4 years in NCAA in terms of her defensive play. While she's phenomenal at what she does do, she is still not a complete player; Duggan is a very strong two-way player.
Duggan was missing last year for the Olympics, and her team didn't make the Final 8 without her. With her (and Knight) back, they are ranked #1. Big difference. Agosta missed for the Olympics, and her team still made the Final 4. They are ranked no higher this year than last.

Nothing against Agosta, but this award looks at what a player did in the NCAA this year, not accomplishments at the Olympics. Having followed the NCAA closely all year, I agree with the other poster, that Duggan is the front runner this year. My bet is on her to win it.
You might be right on Agosta being the first ever to be nominated four years (albeit not in a row).
There are a couple of other players with a great a year in the NCAA (Knight and Poulin) that did not even make the list.

Meghan Duggan is the best all around player. Miss Agosta and Miss Stack have not been noted for playing all 200 feet of ice.
