When will the OWHA announce the coaches? The word around the rink is Dave Gwynn has a head spot and Stacey as well??
My daughter is waiting to hear too, how long does that take? I am thinking at least another 3 weeks? At the rate things seem to move

Get use to waiting and what does it matter? If they pick one or the other will your daughter if selected to either team, refuse the spot? If she has a problem with one or both of those mentioned my adivce is send a letter to the OW stating that now and they will definately make sure your daughter does not play for either coach.

If she has no problem with either coach, what does it matter? They will announce it on their own schedule when they feel they are ready. Having the coaches name today and not knowing if your daughter has made the team, what benefit is that to anyone.

Dollars to donuts, if your daughter is selected, they could hire Elmer Fudd to coach and you would still let her go just to say she did and let her enjoy the experience.

no problem with the coaches, just haven't been thru this experience yet so was looking for some helpful insight, not sarcasm.

The final team is usually contacted about a week after the Stoney Creek University Showcase. The evaluators usually want one more look at the final two or three spots under game conditions.

If you can get past the sarcasm, the previous post had some good advice. Just sit tight and wait. You will be contacted when you are contacted and there is absolutely nothing you can do to hasten the process. Relax

There will be a Headcoach from the East for one of the teams.

One year we were advised Sept 24th, the other year not until Oct 2nd or 3th. In both years, the secounr round tryout was in early August and there was a final prep camp during thanksgiving weekend, shortly after getting notified.
