I understand that this is a free publication? That bothers me even more, because, if its anything like it is here, these "free" parenting magazines are often distributed throughout doctor and obstetrician's offices as gifts to pregnant/new moms.

Obviously, that makes this issue of the magazine all that much more disturbing -- as the target audience will likely be women facing testing.

Unless the editor is in a bunker in London, I would assume anyone handling his duties while he is away has gotten in touch with him--I would think that the bombardment of letters they have received is somewhat unusual for this magazine!

My opinion is that the editor should have made that phone call from London if necessary - to speak to Jeff, even if it is to just set up a meeting...certainly taking a 'wait til next week' approach doesn't seem appropriate.

I'm sure they are thinking about their next move -- and most likely, have consulted a lawyer, just in case.

If they have any common sense at all, there won't be a "next move" without direct input from the families involved, as that is what got them in trouble in the first place.

I would think they would look to you for guidance - ask you what you'd like to see, and allow you your say on how this is corrected.
