Guys like Steve, Dwyer, and Quinn seem to be more interested in a great race than they are with winning. I've always believed that it's not the kill, but the thrill of the chase, so I respect guys with the same mentality.

I can't wait until Steve makes it to victory lane.

While that may be true, the motive doesn't apply to giving Mike King a motor, and it really doesn't apply to last season when he lent out his backup car to someone who was competing against him in the points race. I can't remember who he loaned the car to, but, I'm sure someone on here does.

Well, your right about a couple things. Matt knows he got his start in racing by the help of others. So, what kinda of person wouldn't do the same in return if their able? Second, Matt doesn't have a money paying sponcer on the car. So nobody would be pissed if the car wasn't there! Third, the back up car was three years ago, but your right. Loaning the car cost him a spot in the end of the year points. And,it was great to see Mike have two great finishes with Matts motor. Couldn't happen to a nicer guy! But something you did't see. Matt has loaned out TWO transmission in the last two weeks. Matt is a great guy, and anyone who knows him also knows he would give you the shirt off his back to help a friend.

I don't know Matt personally, but everyone I know who does know him has told me that he's a great guy. As a driver, I'll say the same for him as I do for Rich Ricci ... you saw what he could do when he had the dollars behind him.

We're being unfair to Steve Hough, though. This post was made for him, because he is a good-hearted soul. Comparing him to others is a nice gesture, but he deserves the accolades for himself.
