Say what you want ... Mike King deserved his first career win. I think the overwhelming applause from the crowd told the story.
It would've been even cooler if it had been Mr. DIRT or the 200, but seeing him turn his career around as he's done, and finally getting his party on the front stretch, is something I'll remember for years to come.

that was awesome to see mike get his first win. i will tell you what, one of the first people after mike thoma of course that he should have thanked was that non driving puke dave leckonby. he couldnt drive a straight line if you paid him 5000.00 to. he SUCKS. if it wasnt for him holding up jr for as long as he did mike would have had a big problem, but congrats to mike and hopefully he will be there again soon.

Dave Leckonby entered the new millennium with 23 career feature wins ... 10th on the all time list. He is currently 9th on that list ... a list which includes such all-time greats as Cagle, Corey, and Johnson ... all of whom are behind him on the list. That's disregarding the fact that he put up at least one win every year since he came out of retirement.
Yeah ... he sucks alright.
Whatever it is you have in that pipe ... pass it over.
