from what i understand Mr. Burl made a spectacle of himself YET AGAIN on sunday at the 358 race.....threatening neil stratton, throwing a fit, ramming people with his car and the tow truck...now this is just second hand information cause i was not present but anyone else there to see this lovely spectacle....and that isn't even the point...the point is, when is this nonsense going to stop...when are these no tolerance rules going to start on and off the track...danny may have his good moments and may very well be a person who will do anything for you BUT this has got to stop...he is threatening people physically, he is acting out in a violent manner and sometimes says he will pay you back by cramming you in the wall...how long is this going to be tolerated howie, harry? someone is going to get hurt and it is going to all fall back in your lap for allowing it when you know about the several other incidents.....Now please understand i am not trying to bash him personally or start a 10 page argument....i just don't think it is right and i don't think it is fair to the other drivers and the spectators in the pits to see him acting this way. i am sure he can be a great guy...but you know this excuse and justification of "oh but he really is a nice guy, he is just hot headed" ONLY GOES SO FAR...so racergrl...it is my understanding you may be able to enlighten me since you were in the line of fire.....(smile)

Danny threw a fit b/c neil had tapped the back of danny's bumper which sent him to hit the tow truck and go under it somewhat. Wouldn't you be angry too?

just asked that was all!! that is why i said this is what i heard, not that i know, only what i heard....and your version is not at all like the version i heard...but still i am sure stratton didn't do it on purpose...even if someone hits him accidentally or whatever ....he flips his lid...accidents do happen and although it is infuriating and frustrating...there are drivers out there who do not do that stuff intentionally and i have seen other drivers become infuriated by events that happen on the track but they were just infuriated and discouraged but not at anyone imparticular because they know things happen, it is always a risk you take when you go out on that track.....now this is the way i see it...danny needs to either give up racing so he saves himself the aggervation or he needs to just beat everyone up at the beginning of the season in preparation fo them Possibly hitting him or stop acting like a raving lunatic. nobody even has to come on here and say wow what a jackass...anymore..he just proves it over and over again....he is going to hurt himself or someone else...and it is going to be horrible....

I was over there for the whole confrontation, I saw the whole "accident"....Danny tried to squeeze in between the 87 and the tow truck, the 87 was about 3/4 of a car length ahead, and when neil got to the turn....he turned....and danny had no where to go. Everyone came out of the pits single file yadda yadda yadda, nothing on purpose.... And as for him threatning people, he didnt threaten anyone from the 87 pit (not to their face anyways) it was his 3 or 4 crew members that came over and said they were gonna kick Neils "20 year old ass" up until the point that some of Neils crew stepped in and evened things up. Then it was all a different story. Danny handled himself well IN THE PITS, just a simple matter of What the hell happened? As for on the track, PURPOSELY trying to spin Neil out...now that is horse$hit, the 87 was airborne and all. We'll see what happens I guess.

thankyou for clearing some of that up...but i find it hard to believe for one second that danny contained himself and did not fly off the handle like usual...someone i know was standing with neil when danny came flying over to get in neil's face....i am not sure what was said or done...but once again from what your describing to me none of it was intentional and nobody said he took 87 out intentionally i am just saying he has said in the past that he would pay people back by doing that...and that just isn't right. i just hope something happens before he hurts himself or someone else...

It is quite obvious you only heard what others were saying about this! Neil was lined up before Danny was which clearly means that he could not have touched Danny's bumper. It was in NO WAY Neil's fault that Danny hit the tow truck, if he hadn't tried making pit road two lanes that never would have happened. It was obvious that everyone was going out single file because the tow truck was TAKING UP THE OTHER LANE!! So before you come on here like you know what you are talking about, please get your facts straight! I was standing right there when Danny RAN HIMSELF into the tow truck and when he and his crew came to Neil's pit screaming at him for Danny's mistake. He needs to start using his head and realizing his mistakes instead of blaming everyone else for them! I have watched him go after three different people now, and you know what they say "three strikes and your out"!!!!!

OUCH...i knew it was only a matter of time before racergrl who was standing right there was going to come on here and set the record straight...i knew there was no way stratton did any of that intentionally and i knew once again that danny would have went right over there to start a fight or try and pick one....and the only thing i disagree with racergrl about is that danny hasn't only went after three people this year...this is 4 and that is only that i know of...SO IT HAS BEEN MORE THEN 3 STRIKES, SO THE QUESTION IS, WHEN IS THE EMPIRE GOING TO CALL A PERMANENT OUT???? something has got to give here....before howie ends up being the one holding the bag because he isn't doing anything about it. there is hot headed, and bad tempers but then there is just shear *******ness and stupidity....and he is just continually wreaking havoc...thankyou racergrl for clearing that up...

that sounds about correct...danny blaming someone else for something that is not there fault and because he hits them, he blows up at them. just like he did with neil, just like he did with joe...joe gets a flat, pulls down to the burm and danny hits him in the rear end and not lightly...and i watched the tape over and over but yet danny still wants to beat joe up because DANNY hit joe....i guess you gotta blame someone....now it's neils fault...UNBELIEVABLE

Has anyone tried to talk to Danny about what goes on at the track?

I only met him once, but he seems to be a very approachable person, and I can't help but draw comparisons to another guy from Nassau who had a bit of a temper ... Mr. Sanchez.

I mentioned this is another post, but, since I talked to Danny Sanchez, and pointed out how he was hurting himself, he has cleaned up his act immensely. (I don't take credit for it ... all I did was plant the seed, and Danny did the work).

I just don't see Danny Burl any differently. He comes from a long line of tough people who are not used to taking gruff from anyone. If he feels like he's being pushed, he's going to push back.

Let's send Nina in a bikini. At least we'll know that we have his undivided attention.

I think you gasketcase have it wrong. If i were to approach danny and talk to him about these issues he would listen to me. I am a good friend of his and he wouldnt laugh in my face because he knows better. I just hate how everyone knows not one bit about danny and come on here talking about how he'll react off the race track. YOU dont know anything. Yes you may be right about what happened with him and neil but stop making inferences about how he'll react if someone talks to him. i don't care if you have known him since before he was in the womb...HIS VERY OWN ACTIONS SPEAK FOR THEMSELVES....he has display his violent side one two many times and made an ass out of himself almost every week he has been there...with the exception of Jelley (and that is only what i heard, so don't attack me) and the one who went in the stands and started a fight, can't remember his name, wood or miles...these three have some serious issues......if you know him so well and he is such a great guy then number one you should be embarrassed for him and number two as a friend you would tell him buddy we need to talk.....and i was saying he would probably punch you out if he didn't know you and you tried to tell him how he was acting....the point is this, although he may be a great guy as you say and a good person, his actions portray him to be a violent, arrogant, ruthless, aggressive, confrontational person and because he does so much of it...YOU TELL ME, HOW CAN ANYONE SEE THE GOOD?????

Well I was there too last night. And racergrl has it absolutly correct. Danny is how old and he's threatening a 20 year old over a freakin' accident give me a break. I think out of the whole night he was the only one that made and ass of himself form what I saw everyone else was there just haveing a good time one of the better nights I have seen.

I think I was accredited with comments that I didn't make here. I said that danny could probably be talked to.

Let's not forget that your reaction to someone is hinged upon how they present themselves to you. If I went up to Danny and said, "you're a punch happy sod, and someone should kick your pills", I would be all but guaranteed an arse-kicking.

If I went up to him and said, "I don't want to piss you off, but I'm a fan of yours and was just wondering ...", I'd be less likely to get slapped around.

I don't wear the same shirt every week, by the way. Purple is my company color and I'm usually coming from work. Hence the everpresent purple.

it's okay gasketcase...you can wear the same shirt every week if you want to....but i thought maybe a change would be good, like pink or lime green or yellow with orange polka dots, something that stands out...because you should always stand out...a fine distinguished gentleman such as yourself. Why, thank you kindly. But, I must remind you ... I am still just a shmoe in the grand scheme of things.

I just try to cling to my sense of humor because sometimes it seems like all I have. (I'll refrain from singing the old Hee-Haw song about bad luck to articulate the point).

I usually don't know what I'm doing on Saturday, until I do it. I used to be the type you could set your watch by if you stood at the front gate. Now, the only thing for certain is that I'll be in the red section when the modified main starts.

I am long overdue to go in the pits though ... so, maybe this week.
