Here is my possible list of gifts that I have for Mikey this year...

I must say this year was very easy to come up with ideas - not like the last couple of years. I haven't narrowed down to what he is going to get yet but here are some of the things that I'm thinking about...
- Little People Parkade - he is so into driving those little people cars around these days.
- Little People House - thinking he would be into that too because of the way he is playing with toys lately.
- Another Groovy Boy Doll so that the one he drags everywhere has a friend .
- Another book for his Power Touch
- A remote control car
- Games for his V-Smiles game system (he got this one early as my grandmother gave him his Christmas money in the summer and I figured cause his birthday is January 3 that he could get something in September).
- More parts for his Fisher Price train set - there are some cool new additions out this year that I know he will love!
- Batteries - my parents always buy him a year's supply of batteries each year - lol. From the list above you can see why .
- Legos - he has been playing with his large ones so much and I think he is ready for the little set of legos. He hs a lego table and we will take the big ones out and donate them and then start using the little ones.
So there is the list that I give family but I'm also toying with the idea of telling them to just donate to the "buy Mikey a trampoline in the Spring of 2005" fund as I want to get him one this spring because he just enjoys them so much - and who knows, it might do me some good .

He is getting more for his FP geo track, the delux set ...we found him a bouncer with a bar on it, this will encourage him to bend his knees more, we got him the aquadoodle mat,we got him something else and I cant remember what it is :p he is gonna get some DVDs, more books for his FP power touch, some clothes and undies stuff. We know what Santa is bringing him ( grandma and Grandpa ) a TV/VHS for his room! We alwys have problems at Christmas, I like buying him lots and Mike thinks he has enough.....Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm we will see
Hope some of you all will post things you got for your babies for that first year to help with motor skills. Right now for the olders I am planning and that is the key word, planning to make each of them throws out of flannel and sewn so the seams ravel (sp) and making them those scarves out of the blanket type material and then the make the trim by cutting it. So far that is all I have gotten done, Yikes.
I find that it is not the circumstances in which we are placed, but the spirit in which we face them, that constitutes our comfort.

Last year a friend and I swapped a few toys that each of our kids were just tired of. We picked things that were in good condition so they were good as new to our little ones. I hope to do some of that this year since they always seem to love things they see at other people's houses. I have such a range of ages that Christmas shopping gets downright scary! WTG Debra for making gifts. I wish I were more crafty.
Its absolutely perfect and you're so right on the mark in regards to bringing in different toys. When Mikey was in birth-to-three they had a toy lending library and we got new toys about once a month and it was wonderful.

Right now he is getting Learn with Music and two add ons for that, three add-on packs for his Geotracks set, the Fisher Price Little People Parkade, the Aquadoodle (cool idea Sara - thanks), a T-ball set, and a couple of games (Leap Pad letter game and Whack a Mole and hopefully Lucky Ducks if I can find it).
I do still want to get him some small legos - it seems there aren't that many sets that just consist of regular old building blocks anymore and all of them are specific types of things - which is not what I'm looking for. I'm thinking of saving that for his birthday.
I'm also looking at the Video Now Jr. with some disks for when we go to basketball tournaments and stuff so he has something to "do".

Bristol blocks....K likes them at school. She still can't put them together well but she loves pulling them apart. Maybe Mikey would have better manipulation than K at this point. I can see him really liking these....
Also Monica, I like the remote control car idea. I hadn't thought of it before but Lizzy would like that too. Does Mikey already have one? Is there a link to the one you are considering?
We have a bouncer similar to the Whirlybouncer, but ours is more of a teeter-totter [see-saw] where you need two people to use it, but it has the same 'hippty-hop' underneath so that the landing is soft and bouncy. Emma Sage loves it, but the down side is she needs someone to bounce with her....the one you posted for a single rider looks great and something I am going to consider for her birthday.
Santa has shot his budget for Miss Lizzy this year...lol...but still hoping to find the Whirly Rocket Ride. It is out of stock/unavailable everywhere I've looked. I KNOW she would love this! Is Santa bringing something Emma Sage is hoping for?
