oh boy, this is a big one. Jeff & I have only been married for 7 1/2 years, but we've accumulated over $14,000 in debt (credit cards). Yikes, not fun. But we're determined to pay off 2 of our 3 credit cards this year. Between scrimping & saving and using our tax return, we're pretty sure we're going to get it done.
You're laughing because I'm different... I'm laughing 'cause you're all the same! Whoever said silence is golden has never heard the laughter of a child! A kite rises highest against the wind... not with the wind!
I know it's going to be hard, for both of us. We each have our own little "vices" that we end up spending money on. For Jeff, it's coffee (he's a computer geek, it's part of the job) and for me, it's any & everything cute for the kids, especially clearance clothes. How can you beat it when it's 75% off!!!! Even if I they can't wear it until Spring, hehe.

We're actually doing quite well. We consolidated all of our credit cards into one, with a lower interest rate and are paying between 700-100 a month on it. We're down to about 2/3 of the debt we had at the beginning of the year. Not bad for being 1/3 through the year! Our goal is to have it completely paid off by the time our Navy college fund benefits run out in May of next year. We may slow down a bit on how much we pay each month, depending on what we need to do, but we're getting there! Thanks for asking!!
