I know bates and warnock met the other day and he does not know the outcome but warnock has not signed his 12 month extension prior to going away to Barbados.

He didn't know if the take over was still on or not. Just that bates had told him he would be gone by the time he got back but he was still there, so along with not a penny from the so called £2m transfer budget he no longer trust bates and at this moment in time is out of contract.
He last spoke to warnock the day he left for Barbados.

Not doubting the information posters on here are getting from people who are supposed to be in the know ! The problem i have with it is are your sources actually being told the truth in the 1st place ! Chinese whispers , things get exaggerated and added , so i find alot of this a bit hard to believe . the thing is, you can't even trust the press, I mean their stories are recycled news from various sources that frankly don't stack up as real news anyway. mentalpen you are partly right about warnock, his resignation is on the table and is dependant on this takeover not going tits up, these people leeds are talking to are big hitters who predict top 3 in the next five years which considering the clout in prem at moment that i is big money.

I would like to believe something positive is going on given that Colin is still here and Bates is keeping his usually big trap shut. No signings does not mean nothing is happening to get players in afterall none of the players are due back till July to start pre season. If folks predictions come true then fair do's .... Time will tell on that one.

I've heard a few bits and bats but nothing concrete till today, what I do know through the player I know is he is actively wanting out for some time which is always a bad sign.
It has nothing to do with warnock but is everything to do with how he believes he and other players are being treated by the club.
This season will be my last st a ST holder after many, many years both good and bad unless bates goes or invests correctly in the team.
not really got any experience of this lad either taking the piss or giving it large, that's the only reason i'm reading his posts with any interest. It just goes to show though, how desperate we all are for positive news. if we were split arses talking about their fave soap we'd deserve to have the piss taken big time.
i have a very strong feeling i know the player you are talking about. this takeover is very similar to his chelsea sale. invest no money into the club, use money that should be spent on players to build up the ground, get to an untenable position and then sell for a massive profit. one thing i do know is that the takeover is going ahead but is at a critical stage,dillegance check is taking its time, but who wunt when you are are dealing with a bloke who would rob his own granny, i just hope it dunt collapse for the sake of us fans

Yes he said forest want him and are also subject to a take over but he said Warnock has family in Leeds (think he said his son) hence him wanting to stop.
Have heard very similar stories from people connected to the club, Bromby lives next door to a mate of mine, him Clayton and Mccormack all use the same barbers in Cleckheaton, as does another mate (those of you who know me know i dont need a barber these days) lots of disquiet among the players but something is definately affoot regarding takeover, Warnock is losing patience but has given Bates until end of the month or he's off

I think that the silence from ER and lack of transfer activity going on could be good signs as that is to be expected during due diligence checks etc.
My main worry is the checks turning up some rotten apples which puts off interested party or simply bates being his normal obnoxious odious lying self driving them away.
I will be pleasantly suprised if it doesnt all go tits up.....it always does for us doesnt it ?
Problem is that there is still too many that buy anything Bates throws at them. If we come 14th again Bates will call it consolidation and that we have a sound platform to build on. The gullible out there would swallow it yet again. A lot of people have had enough of the shit in the last 7+ years but i feel its still not enough. If it falls through league 1 is beckoning and that ultimately would be the end to Bates.
Not sure why anyone would question Mentalpen's credentials - he's one of this boards original top posters - but as he's a former fellow mod of this site I should categorically say that he's legit.

Good info mate - i'd be interested to know who the player is... haven't been to York races for a few years now but my record of never winning is still intact...!
It's not looking good for next season and tough fixtures for the first couple of months as well. ER is going to be full of groans come september
