Last time I spoke to him he was going back to hospital but in good spirits, I asked someone who lives in same block as him how he was doing and he said he was ok !?
Funny how you mean to ring someone and it's put off because you're busy !!
I'll get in touch and let thee know.

Ey up pal.
Spoke to S and he's not feeling too grand at the moment, suffering from chronic fatigue and dehydration, also had more tests and scans so its knocking it out of him, also could be side affects of chemo and radiotherapy, no wonder the poor bugger feels like shite.
Yea its a just one of those things where we all forget and get on with the daily grind and before you know it its been yonks since you were last in touch, he understands like, also nowt we can do but say the usual.

Hi folks. Mrs Expat here! Just returned from visiting him in hospital. As previously mentioned he has been admitted due to being severely dehydrated after almost 2 weeks of little or no food and drink staying in his body. They have him on a drip and he is having a swallow test tomorrow (hopefully non-invasive) to find out why nothing is getting through. The experts have said that this is due to radiontherapy after effects but time will tell.

Will keep you updated on progress and hoping he will be home soon!

Just to update that the reason he hasn't been able to eat or drink anything is because his gullet is blocked and he will need a stent fitted next week. Then he will need mega calories to build himself back up. Beer? Guinness? Hope so!! Oldnags sorry to hear you are suffering too. Is it oesophagues as well? Northwite - a couple of cold beers would go down really well with him at the moment - if only!!!

Really sorry to hear this. As Leeds 'exiles' living in Halifax we used to swap tales whenever we bumped into each other in a hostelry, though Steve always had more tales than me!
RIP Big Fella

Deepest sympathies

July 13 2017, 3:22 PM

Para just phoned me to let me know about big Steve's passing. So sad to hear this, saw him at the end of last season and he said he was recovering. Must say he looked in top form. We shared many a story from the old days and had some great laughs at the daft things we got up to in our younger days. Steve old pal, you will be greatly missed.

Spoke to his mrs and it's obviously a huge hammer blow, details of any arrangements will be posted when known.
Pass the news on to the old boys who don't come on here anymore.
Rip Steve.
