Response to Colorado truck pull. web page |
| I am doing all I can, I contacted each of the organizations I found, told them about this board, and the calendar. If I could ever get people to start using, it would be like a drug, and they would be hooked.
We could really share alot now with the internet. And eventually I think we will see pulling evolve like drag racing, and motorcycles, and we will have a national organization, and we will all run the same rules.
AMA has done this for years and years. And they still run BIG events, and have a pro circuit that travels the country. But for those who cant afford or have no desire, they can stay withiin their district and race. Or, as we once did, we traveld to florida and raced. We didnt get points, but we got money, and it didnt cost us anymore to race there then it did at home. AND we didnt have to worry about being legal, the rules were the same for everyone all across the country.
I dont have any NHRA experience, but i would guess they are about the same way.
Pulling is still far from this. A prostock NTPA midsouth truck, is nothing like a KTPA prostock truck, and more like some states SUperStock. Modified's are better, i think they are getting fairly standardized with the NTPA rules.
I hope I live to see the day when I can go on a trip, ie up home, and swing by and pull against Shazam, and know we are all running the same rules, jst on differant tracks. |
