Response to safty rules |
| We have two groups of prostock trucks in this area, and two prostreet, between three orgs.
The psk4 combined would make an excellant class. I tried 4 years ago to get them to come togther, they would not, and now they are further apart then before, and insteed of pulling all the pulls they used two the pulls have been split.
they are not real differant, same weight box, slight hitch length, same wheelbase, same safty, 15 cid differance, one alky one gas, one street tire one now cepeks, headers all run up, or down and back with muffs.
I suggested, go with the higher cid, longest hitch, run gas, run large street tires or small bars no cepeks, and now we have a solid 20 trucks, with 8 really close competitors, and a good chevy ford mix, unfortunatly we only have one dodge in the country that ive seen.
i like street tires, because we have alot of NTPA mods and supermodfwds, so that helps the fans tell the differance.
And prostrret all run headers down and back with muffs, so they are easy to tell apart.
That we we have a stepping stone. Guy can pull stock, till he gets banned, like me, then go pst, when ready psk, mod, smfwd. A good natural progression.
We have 50 pstfwd trucks within 300 mile radious. They are dang near all running the same rules, just enough diff to keep the other orgs out.
That mentallity is what will hold pulling back, as a major spectator sport. |
