At the bottom of this page Reddog posted "Favorite Class" which kind of goes along with this thread. Trying to make truck pulling more popular. I think my favorite class is "Stock" Not because I pull in the stock class or, should be (haha). The Org. that I pull in, does'nt always allow the stockers and when they do we have to pull an hour before the event starts. The audience that shows up early loves it and the audience that shows up on time are pissed because they didn't know they were pulling. I like it because these are guys that use these pickups to get back and forth to work and drive them to and from the pulls. Some of them do full pulls and might have to pull a couple more times that night. Where as the Pro-Stock and Modified trucks never do a full pull or have to re-pull. They hardly ever break, where the Stock trucks are always breaking. I love seeing that as sick as it may seem. If I think back on the past 30 years of watching Truck Pulls, some of the stock truck pulls stick out most. Where they have broken REAL bad, one paticular that went through the fence at the end of the track at a fair grounds. I don't like tractor pulls because thats what tractors were built to do.No big deal. Hope I don't make any body mad. Don't take me wrong I would love to go Pro-stock and like watching them pull.I can appreciate all the work that goes into them. But there's nothing like an old or new stock truck trying to pull and tearing out their driveshaft or clutch. I've done that plenty times myself. And after saying all this crap I probably jinxed myself.
