But for those of us like to go to the away games, Portland is a hike. I am going to game 3, but I have to miss 4 because a 7 year old who is mad at me for missing her birthday isn't worth it..lol.
there is one weekday game in Portland. And for those crazy people like myself who travels for a lot of the away games, that makes it difficult. I guess it's a good thing, I have a great boss who will let me out early with a short notice if I want to go to the game. lol
The one game that I'd really want to go to is on a Tuesday (game five) in Portland. Being on a weekend for that game (or having it here like is should be. GRRRR) would have been so much better.
How long does it take to clean up after the Circus? It ends on the 4th? Sheesh..
If you remember last year's playoffs, we played Manchester on the Tuesday after the circus ended. So it can be done if they really want to. But I guess maybe it was too much work last year making ice in 2 days so they went the 2-3-2 schedule to avoid that again.
Now that you said that, I think I do remember that. I also think that I remember them complaining about the ice being bad. So I guess they do need at least three days to let the ice really freeze up good.
My favorite memories still are of late May and in June when the air was on and the curtains were pulled and the fog was coming off the ice (the year they won the Calder Cup). And were were in our jerseys... and SHORTS!!
