"It’s pretty well understood that minor leagues are about gaining experience and learning from it.

That doesn’t stop at players. Minor league coaches are paid to teach, but they also learn. The best coaches remember the most important lessons.

That explains, at least partially, why the Providence Bruins dominated the start of the American Hockey League’s Calder Trophy playoffs (six straight wins) as they dominated the regular season. Scott Gordon remembers seasons like this – except for the playoff wins."
