Congradulations to the Boston Celtics for winning the NBA crown in just 6 games in a blowout game six with a win by an amazing 39 points. Is there a victory celebration soon in the works for the Boston Bruins? Yeah right, maybe with a new owner, who's present owner I see knows little or nothing about hockey. It's all money to him.

I Was Thinking..

First, agree, congrats to the Celtics. Basketball isn't my thing, but I admit I watched the last 10 minutes of Games 5 and 6.

As I saw that they were going to win last night I thought about how the Providence Bruins won the Calder Cup in 1999. OK, maybe we're just a minor league team, but it was the beginning. Then the Patriots began their winning of Superbowls and reign and then the Red Sox did the unthinkable. And now another team who hadn't won in 22 years, wins. But, the Boston Bruins can't get to the playoffs and/or out of the first round. Why?

Unfortunately, I think you hit it.. the owner. . . and the GM (as far as I'm concerned). They never were willing to have several dry years and not even worry about the playoffs in order to build the team. They were too busy just having "an OK team". They won't join the party of celebrating that way.
