Scratch/Injured: Ryan Stokes, Zach Hamill, Brett Motherwell, Mark Bomersback
WOW, what a game! Finally everyone on the team was playing and really putting in their all. It was great to really get a blow-out over Worcester!
Our forwards were forechecking and defense was so much better. I have to almost giggle and wonder if Matt Lashoff reads the board.. after I (and others agreed) wrote that he needed to shake off any attitude and put his heart into the game -- well, he did that tonight. It was one of his best games with four points and a sound defensive game. I hope that he keeps it up.
Sadly, Tuukka still had to let that first soft goal in. I have no idea how they are going to fix that, but I hope that they are able to.
Just a great and fun game. Great win!

Observations.........
November 15 2008, 10:06 AM
Some of the things I saw.....
Martins Karsums continues to get even better. He can score, forecheck, hit, defend, agitate, pass, and have fun. Damn, I wonder how he would be in goal!!!!!
Brad Marchand is frikkin FAST!!!!!!!
Levi Nelson really has the knack of getting under the skin of opposing players. And its fun to watch, hehe
Mikko ( great name by the way)Lehtonen should camp out in front of the net more often because the puck twice found him there all alone and he put it in both times. The first time he just swatted at a bouncing puck and it ended up perfectly floating over the Worchester's goalies shoulder.
Boychuk has a monster shot from the blueline and we saw it again last night on that onetimer from Lashoff. And he always has a huge smile on his face.....
Tuukka gives up a ton of rebounds. He needs gobble up that puck a lot more. Although the first goal was soft, he played decent the rest of the way. It looked like he thought that first goal was going wide. It was an awesome shot.
Lashoff had a great night, period!!!!
It sure looked like we had more than 7340 people there last night.....Didn't it????
Knackstedt and Desjardins get into a fight 3 SECONDS INTO THE GAME. Sure wish I could have been a fly on someone's helmet there.
Finally, I sure hope that young boy sitting right behind the bench that got hit by the puck is all right. He looked to be about 12 years old and it hit him directly in the left temple. He was bleeding pretty bad.
I have to say that I can agree with everything you wrote. I might add that I was also glad to see Martin St. Pierre elevate his game.
As for Knackstedt and Desjardins, they had some bad blood (obviously ) from the last game in Worcester. I wonder if three seconds into a game for a fight is a record? Actually, with his game misconduct, it seems that Desjardins had some problem with Jordan Knackstedt.
As for the little boy, I walked near where they have the medical stuff now (my cousin is an EMT there now) and he wasn't bleeding much. He just had a very swollen eye. They were asking him how many fingers they had up but he was too busy admiring the P-Bruins puck. So, he looked to be OK. His mom said they were more scared then anything.
Back to hockey.. big game tonight against Portland. I home our guys just do the same thing.. show up and play well.

Its good to hear about the little boy. I'm sure he's gonna have a black eye. But in the hockey world, that's a trophy. Congrates , kid. :>) Get Well soon.
This is just proof that when our guys are on they are on. This was just an amazing game all around. Everyone was doing our their jobs. I even have to say it Lasoff was amazing.
