Scratches/Injured: Ned Lukacevic, Jeremy Reich, Jonathan Tremblay
Wow, I can't believe how much Lowell can throw Providence into a total fit! They dominated Providence in the first period and did just what they wanted to do -- scored first. Fortunately, Providence came out wild and strong in the second period and spend most of the period in Lowell's zone, but it still was amazing at shots that would not go in. The look on Vladimir Sobotka's face when he actually scored was one of "geeezzzzzzzze.. finally!" I don't blame him for feeling that way. It seems like whatever Providence did, it just wasn't going to work.
Unfortunately in the third period Tuukka let in a softie (and he knew it and was so upset, but I was glad that he didn't let it affect the rest of his game) and then the Bruins were two goals behind and never could catch up.
I have to point out that getting Ryan Stokes back right now with the call-up for Johnny Boychuk and Matt Lashoff could not be timed better. I loved his first game and I'm a fan after tonight. What a few incredible moves he made! On one he totally saved Tuukka. He's just awesome on defense! Also, Jeff Penner is getting better and better and better.
Our new defenseman scared me to death! And only Adam McQuaid (for who is left) also leaves me feeling safe.
I hope that they can fix what is wrong.. they play Lowell again next Friday.

Well I wasn't at last night's game, but I figured it wouldn't be pretty with a depleted defense, but hopefully they can turn it wround tomorrow. As for Stokes I liked him the first night I saw him, he isn't flashy but he's good at what he can do. Good to have him back and here's to a better game tomorrow
I am like you -- I liked Ryan Stokes the very first game and could not (I also liked Johnny Boychuk in the very first game) wait to see them both again. I was so bummed to learn that Ryan was injured. I'm so glad he's back. Wow, I still can't get over some of the great plays he made.
I have to say that Adam McQuaid is getting better, too. He's just not flashy of offensive, but instead (and every team needs it) he's just steady on the blue line.
Ssshh.. but I'm selfishly hoping we get Johnny Boychuk back after Boston's next game or two. One d-man in Boston was only out for two games (tonight marks the second game).
