Providence 1, Manchester 3
Scratches/Injured: Levi Nelson, Kevin Schaeffer, Jordan Knackstedt
I got to watch the game free on AHL live since I didn't go to the game today and they had a free day. I have to say that watching live was good, but it was also insane.. Wow... a
3-1/2 x 4-3/4 box/rectangle. I had to lean forward to see it better. And, actually, that leaning forward became the most uncomfortable part! YIKES! I don't know that I could handle that all the time. You know, the price is so crazy. . . if they even charged half the price they'd probably get triple the people.. Then again, I don't know if my eyes or body (from learning forward) could take sixty minutes of this on the away games and home ones I miss.. (whew for between periods!)
Anyway..
From what I saw.. it looked like Providence slept-skating during the whole first period...
And, I knew that Tuukka was going to get burned one day since he'd leave the net to clear the puck (behind the net!) -- WHEN there were players from the other team still around. Today it happened. I hope he learned from it and stays IN that net unless it's all Bruins around him. You're not Patrick Roy yet, Tuukka

AGH!!!!!!!
Ryan Stokes did try and save him, but he can't save him all the time...
I was shocked to see that Providence had 11 shots in the second period because watching, it looked like they had about three shots. I guess that's about all they had that were semi-scoring chances. Still sleep-skating.. Ugh!
And the third period.. not much better. I do have to say that I was very intrigued at why Bodnarchuk was out with Marty Karsums and Adam McQuaid when Providence had a five on three to kill off. Nothing personal toward him, but he's not one of our better defensemen at all. And, in fact, it was his guy he was covering that scored.
I truly don't understand why Providence seems to not be able to beat last place teams. It seems like they go in and expect automatic. They looked lose and tired to me.
I learned a really important thing today by watching online. When you are at the games you can't see both sides that they are trying to score at, nor can you see all that goes on. Providence may have gotten a lot of shots, but not many of them were actually scoring chances.
