Scratch/Injured: Ryan Stokes, Andrew Bodnarchuk, Matt Lashoff (he did get hurt..), Ned Lukacevic
I'm watching the game live online so I'm adding my comments when I can, and I am seeing the game..
I can say that the Bruins spend the first five minutes of the first period in their zone. Finally they broke out of that and that is when they picked up their first goal. A real beauty from Mikko Lehtonen. After that, it was a pretty evenly matched period. Providence came very close to scoring again. The power play wasn't awful either -- and that's saying a lot. Haha.
WOW, I thought I saw insane things before, but tonight held a new one. Now, this time I SAW it. Vladimir Sobotka just laid a normal hit on a Hershey player (and that player skated away) and he was called for boarding and THROWN OUT OF THE GAME?!! I never heard of such an insane thing in my life! He went right to the box and didn't talk to the stupid official and he got tosses? Well, I love Zach Hamill's goal right after that. It was a great, "shove it, Hershey", goal. Insane! I still can't believe he got tossed. Kevin later explained that the rules showed that if the ref gave a major penalty for boarding then a game misconduct followed. However, it was the ref's "discretion" as to whether or not it was a major or a minor". It's pretty obvious if the player hit is bleeding, etc. This player didn't even get hurt, but the ref changed it from a minor to major. What a fruit loop.
Dang.. Hershey's second goal was a good one for them.. right over Tuukka's shoulder. Ack.. the one after that came out of no where. I barely saw it. I swear it was a lucky shot..
Come on Bruins!
Ack.. Hershey scores again. No defense... not too good Tuukka. Right behind you.. you may want to wake up.. that was a softy.. big time.
Not much to write about in the third period. I can say that Hershey's 6th goal was just awful. There was no defense and it looked like Tuukka was diving for something.... not the puck. YUCK! I guess they got their payback for our 7-2 trouncing on them. Yeah, we got them better! But a win would have been nice.
