Scratch/Injured: Ryan Stokes, Andrew Bodnarchuk, Peter Schaefer, Bryan Miller, Jonathan Tremblay
Wow, it was so good to get back to a game! I hadn't realize how very much I missed it. One of the first things I noticed is how fragmented the team has become due to call-ups, trades, injuries and what-not. I realized that I truly didn't even know the lines. But, as the night went on, the Sobotka, St. Pierre and Lehtonen line started to click. Now if that line can just stay that way for awhile.
On the unfortunate side (but Providence did win), Portland was up to their old games. Dives, falling over sticks and then looking at the ref. Sadly, the dopes got some penalties that way. And they got themselves on a 5-on-3 and a power play goal that way. And, one of their goals (I belive it was their second) was hit in with a high stick, so it was not a legal goal. However, the ref decided that he wouldn't overrule his decision. Say what?
It was a really good win. Sadly, Hartford keeps winning so we can't seem to get free of them in the tie for first place.
