Providence 5, Lowell 2

Scratch/Injured: Kevin Regan, Adam Courchaine, Matt Marquardt, Kevin Schaeffer, Denis Reul, Martin St. Pierre (just resting), Kirk McDonald, Victor Bartley, Matt Stephenson

In the pre-game, Rob Murray said that they weren't going to kill themselves to get first place, but it (of course) is a desire they all share -- to at least win the division (and beating Hartford is always good)!

A few other guys were rested -- Martin St. Pierre was one tonight. Rob is (I have to agree that I am as well) very impressed with Kirk McDonald and he gave him a rest night, too.

I was pretty busy doing something while listening, but I had to take a minute out to say, congrats to Jonathan Tremblay for getting his first goal of the season. Hey.. it took long, but he did get one!

Well, not to be outdone or left out, Ryan Stokes (who spent so much time injured) got HIS first goal of the season next -- making it 3-0.

And, who was the annoying person near Kevin that constantly was clearing their throat? UGH!

Good win! Sadly, Hartford and Manchester were tied in the late third, but Hartford scored and they won. BOOO! We remain two points behind them... In other moves, I think that Worcester beat Portland and jumped over them in the standings..

Hmmm

Geeze, I was listening to it, but I didn't even hear any big thing. He may have just yelled at one of the other players for being in his way or pushed them out of the way. It was nothing major, I know that. I did listen to the whole game. LOL!

Edit to add; I just noticed it was at the same time as the last Lowell goal, so maybe he hit his stick on the net.
