Worcester Sharks general manager Wayne Thomas announced today that the team has signed forward T.J. Trevelyan to a one-year American Hockey League contract.

Trevelyan, 25, played 76 games with the AHL's Iowa Chops last season recording 47 points (23 goals, 24 assists) along with 18 penalty minutes. He tied for the Iowa team lead in goals and ranked second in points.

The five-foot-nine, 179-pound left wing has appeared in 208 career American Hockey League games with the Providence Bruins and the Chops, posting 138 points (69 goals, 69 assists) and 82 penalty minutes. He registered a career-high 28 goals, 25 assists, and 53 points as a rookie with Providence in 2006-07.

Trevelyan has added 17 points (8-9-17) in 23 career Calder Cup Playoff contests, all with the Bruins.

T.J. is a proven goal scorer in the American Hockey League, said Thomas. He is an exciting player that will be a welcomed addition to our club for next season.

The Mississauga, Ont., native played collegiate hockey at St. Lawrence University recording 154 points (78 goals, 76 assists) and 204 penalty minutes in 150 games.
