..that I wrote in my freshman year in high school, for English class. It got a few laughs.
Hairy Henry heard the honking
Hairy Henry hit the donkey
and what an ugly mess it can spill
It smashed into his car's front grill
Big black eyes, bloody and crushed
Silly little hairs, messed in mush
Rough red hooves, broken in two
Hey, now it kind of looks like you!
A tail and ear tangled in a knot,
Steam from the engine makes it look hot.
Broken limbs and cracked rims
Split down the middle is a pink-staned shin
Plenty of shouts and riots behind
Makes this chaos begin in time
The police show up, a man is dead
Rolling on the ground is his human head
For this story is no story without a moral
pollution and care kill much more than coral.
loved this. I wish I still had the high school yearbook that I had a long poem in. And the photos of myself and my friends. And the journals I kept back then.
