Friday, May 14th the ARDC Midgets will be racing at the Famous Williams Grove Speedway. Gates Open @ 5:30. This race is considered one of the biggest races of the year. Adding to the Excitment about this race is the fact that it was rained out last year. So far (knock on wood!) the weather looks good, maybe a little warm! Lauren and I will be spending most of our time in the stands on the backstretch and probably in the infield when the midgets aren't running. Please come out and cheer Ray on. This will be the first race at the Grove for both Shirkey and Carey. Good luck to all 3 guys and see you all there. I will have T-shirts at the track if anyone is interested.

Well We pulled into the track around 5:30 and we got out to talk to Ray's brother and we stood there talking for about 40 seconds and then it started to rain. It was raining sideways, hailing and thunder & lightning. Wow! Needless to say the races were cancelled and we started home. We did, however; stop at a nice place to have dinner on the way home. And I think these boys take advantage of me. I had to drive home! Anyway, next up is Dixieland Speedway in Elizabeth City, North Carolina. Long Time but well worth it. It is always a nice getaway!
