We left on Thursday evening to head for Dixieland Speedway. We arrived at the track on Friday around Noon. It turned out to be 90 degrees with NO breeze. Needless to say we spent most of the afternoon in the Air.
We were scheduled to run twin twenties that night with the wingless one first. Ray started 10th in the wingless feature and marched his way to the front battling with Steve Lenig and Ed Stimely Jr. He took the lead and the win.
In the second feature Ray started 12th. He charged his way right to the front and had the lead by lap 6. He lead the rest of the way to take his first ever twin twenties. Ray and the entire MEGA Motorsports team were absolutely elated. What a great night. Lauren was very excited to get to see her daddy do so well. I think her little hands were sore from clapping.
It was wonderful to see all the fans cheering, we had a tremendous amount of support from them and we really appreciate it when everyone comes down after the races to say hello. Thanks to everyone at Dixieland Speedway for such a wonderful trip. It is along trip, but always worth it. They always make you feel very welcome.
Next week we are off to Thunder Mountain Speedway in NY. Not too far from home......Think about it!!!!!!
