This past Saturday we raced at New Egypt Speedway in New Jersey. What a wonderful place to take the kids. Lauren had so much fun! They have a playset with slides and a sandbox for the kids and a playset made up like a monster truck. Oh and we raced too! We ran twin twenties with no qualifying races, which meant that the drivers had to draw numbers for the first race and then they completely inverted the field for the second race. Ray started 16th in the wingless race which ran first and quietly picked his way through the field. He was in quite an intense battle with Steve Buckwalter until they got together a little bit in turn 4 and Buckwalter got up in the marbles and lost a few spots. Ray finished 3rd to Donnie Trent and Ed Stimely who finished second. In the Winged feature Ray started 16th again. By the end of the first lap he was 6th! He had the leap by lap 4 and never looked back. Finishing second was Steve Buckwalter and 3rd was Frank Polimeda.
What a great night for Racing, No RAIN anywhere to be found!!!!
