This weekend we are heading west to Mercer Raceway Park on Saturday night and Latrobe Speedway on Sunday. We are running two 25 lap feature events at Mercer with the first one being wingless and the second with the wings on. On Sunday night we will run a complete show with heats and a 20 lap feature at Latrobe. The whole family is making this trip and it should be a lot of fun! Lindsey hasn't ever sat in the bleachers right at the track, she was only at Orange County in the grass so this should be interesting. She doesn't like to sit still very long!

Wish Ray luck and hopefully you can make the trip out to one or both races this weekend.

A few Changes

Here are a few changes for the plans for this weekend. From Barry.

It appears as though the weather is going to cooperate, and the Ray's Yamaha/Polaris/Victory Tour 2005 presented by ARDC is ready to invade western PA this weekend. The mighty midgets roll into Mercer Raceway Park on Saturday for a pair of 20-lap features. These races were previously listed as 25-lappers, but each contest will be run over a 20-lap distance. The first feature will be a winged affair, with the second main event run in wingless fashion.
On Sunday, the teams of the American Racing Drivers Club jump over to the Latrobe Speedway. This is the very first time that the ARDC Midgets will compete on the half-mile at Latrobe. Wingless heats and a 20-lap feature will highlight the program for the midgets.
Just three days later, on Wednesday, July 27, ARDC will proudly take part in the inaugural Walter Chernokal Memorial event at the Bridgeport, NJ Speedway. The midgets will pound the clay on Bridgeport's quarter-mile oval, running heats and a feature with wings. Racing begins at 7 p.m. next Wednesday.
