This weekend we head for North Carolina again to make up the races that were cancelled in May due to rain. We will run Friday night at Dixieland Speedway and Saturday at County Line Speedway. Hopefully Mother nature will cooperate and we can make some laps.

Well the weekend started out pretty well. We made good time getting to Maurice & Patsy's House and we loaded up in the motorhome and hit the road. We did however, hit a huge traffic jam on I-95. That set us back a little. We spent the night somewhere in Richmond, VA.

We headed for Dixieland on Friday morning and it really didn't seem to take that long. When we got down there it was very, very hot. We hung out in the motorhome until it was time to head to the pits. The girls got to spend some time in the pits so that was fun for them.

We were allowed 2 hot laps sessions. Ray was the fastest time of the night in the last one, but on the last lap his motor let go. Ray's teamate Dave Shirk, graciously stepped aside and let Ray run his #2 car.

He stared about 6th in the first feature and really seemed to struggle. He was able to finish 9th. He started the second feature somewhere aound the same 6th spot or so and was able to get his way up to 2nd. He tried to catch a fast Steve Buckwalter, but ran out of time.
