I've created a shirt and with the help of a friend that is into screen printing we've come up with something. you can check them out at www.geocities.com/cityhallgambler
I am not interested in making money off of this. it is simply a donation thing for the time and money i've spent on making the shirts. If you don't have the recommened 15 bucks just let me know and maybe we can trade favors or something, i'm open.
man if you think I'm trying to make money off of this then you're reading into me the wrong way. I made a shirt for myself and then a few friends told me they wanted one, so they gave me a few bucks to get one made for them. I'm doing the same damn thing here. I'm paying my respects by wearing the shirt and helping other to have something to show their support. so don't come at me with that s h i t pal... If you want to call your boys in mansion and have me "banned" fine, whatever, but you'll be taking away from the point. do as you please superstar.
theres no point for doing that we should kill ourselffs too and put the blame on bush and maybe he might scare middle ameica into a civil war with the the 49% of americans who hate those scumf***s
Listen, you are selling T-shirts. SELLING not giving them away and you will profit from the death of Hunter. If you want to sell, sell at cost and I'm ok with it. Think about it.
the price stated isn't written in gold. I am simply wishing to break even and sell for cost and shipping or what not. I am not looking for a profit of any kind. I am not wishing to gain capital at the expense of Hunter's death, that would be outlandish...
I'm ok with this as long as you sell at cost and not for profit. What you do outside of this MEMORIUM site is your business. The purpose of the site is a memoriaal posting and not a retail t-shirt swap meet. You seem to be a good guy and have good intentions so I'll let it drop.
As for what the HST estate thinks, that's another matter and I'll leave that between you and them.
I don't think I could get you one that quick. I am sorry. If I could I would. This is all just on a whim, I haven't even printed anymore yet. I called my friend in Austin a few minutes ago and he's going to get started working on them tonight. I will have them in my hands this weekend. I am not making a bunch of them, just on a per order basis, so it takes time. Sorry...
judging from your email you've already started the production.
you wote:
"I had to pay 25 for the esd file that the screen printers use, 35 bucks a side for the screen printing stencils, shirts are 5 and shipping is around 3 bucks..."
Just be aware of what the purpose of the site is as a MEMORIAL.
i have to agree, thanks for the site, although it does seem rather empty. just full of people hassling this guy about t shirts! i agree we'd all love one and you can't blame the guy for trying to do his bit furthering the cause of Gonzoism and maybe making a buck or two in the process. As for tributes to Hunter, i feel that the world will be a sadder and slightly less sane place without him in it. I tried like crazy to find a signed first edition of his latest work, but being stuck over in the UK i found it impossible! Gutted!! So i did the next best thing that i could. In my own personal tribute to the Great Man on my recent trip to Vegas to marry my beautiful wife Sarah, i spent the whole time with mirrored shades on, the loudest shirt that i could find, Bermuda Shorts and a ciggy constantly dangling from my mouth in a silver tipped holder, all whilst wearing my favourite striped "bucket" sunhat,oh and we both spent the whole time exceedingly drunk! Driving down the Strip in said attire, music blaring from the convertible kind of made me feel closer to one of my heroes. He will be greatly missed! There will never be another like him!! now it's time to get out of here, wild craziness abounds...bat country!!
ok ok so i came into this site by a back door link, just looking fot Gonzo tshirts and i didn't see all the tributes on the other pages.(how stupid do i feel now!!??) good luck with the shirts city hall gambler, maybe if you do make any profits you could send them to some gun related charity,or a family suicide helpline or something,or maybe just go and buy a ****load of acid and booze and celebrate The Doctors life in your own way ;o)
