Somewhere tonight under the full moon Dr. Hunter S. Thompson is driving a great red convertible along the lost highway where there is no speed limit.

Re: Somewhere tonight

February 24 2005, 4:55 AM

I saw a flash in the sky,
Heard a rumble in the distance…
Then it all stopped … no sound, nothing…

Later, that day back in ole Woody Creek … the vultures circled, the money grubbing new/old best friends chattered,

Books were hurriedly reprinted, T-shirts created, articles were written praising THE DUKE,

And the puzzled masses wondered aloud… “Why?”

“I swear I saw the corpse blink?”

That was only wishful thinking…

The last Wild Turkey shoot is over … only the smell of GUNPOWDER remains.
