That said, I enjoyed reading Thompson right up until I read "Better Than Sex". He had a gift for invective. And he certainly lead an interesting life. But in the end I disagreed with his politics and stopped reading. It's easy to be a flaming left-winger when you're a rich and famous writer living up the road from Aspen.
Anyway, Thompson- thanks for "Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas". Ride easy.
