well...if you read the paper and did a bit of research you would realize that his family and personal historian were aware of his state lately and have accepted it as part of the man...his son merely said that Hunter though it was time to go...his historian said, Hunter had been suffering ill health and had spent alot of time recently bonding with family...his suicide was planned...leave the man alone. If you like his work like it, if you don't I don't know why your here...artists especially ones who use massive amouts of drugs often check out at any momment...his life was not one of responsibility to you or anyone...get off your horse...see the man for the man.

--- Death in the afternoon

if his family, who knew him understand and accept it, the rest of you can quit whining and bitching. we all have our own opinions, but there is no point in it here. H.S.T. was a man of his own, went out like he lived- crazy and in-his-own-strange-way couragous. this was spoken by his family. Considering he would always speak of suicide and told his family how that would be how it would happen (he and his wife fought about it). we didnt know this, but they did..thats why they said they werent shocked that it happened...just when. but hst was always one to suprise. yes, it sucked, yes maybe it was wrong...etc, etc,etc...we could go on forever saying that ****, regardless, i beleive if his family u-stands and accepts it, then we need to simply remmember thompson for who he was and quit trying to understand it all. could we do that in his life even? he wanted to go out while he was still on top, and his health was ****ty, and who knows what he was thinking exactly, but if you guys have been reading the articles you get a glimpse of his reasons and dont try to reason it. that was his doing and his choice, just honor the guy and leave it at that. let there be peace for him and us.
